Southface offers courses
and training events in a variety of contexts. The formats
are varied
and
range
from
multi-day workshops on building science; one-day seminars
on energy code; to certified Home Energy Rating Systems courses.
We hold many educational events at the Southface Energy and
Environmental Resource Center and we can bring the training
event to your location.
EarthCraft
House - setting the standard for healthy,
environmental home building and design. A partnership
with the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.
Homebuilding
School - an invigorating, hands-on class,
offered in weekend and nine-day formats, providing
the knowledge to make building-related decisions with
confidence.

Energy Rating System (HERS) - Taking this course
is the first step toward becoming a Certified Home Energy
Rater.

Performance with ENERGY STAR - Training
workshops provide contractors with the prerequisite knowledge
to participate in the Home Performace with Energy Star
program.
LEED Training events -Southface's Commercial Green Building Services promotes
the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED® ) program of the US Green Building Council. LEED addresses site, energy, water, materials, and indoor environmental quality.
