Southface’s role
in this initiative includes increasing community awareness
of solar energy, expanding the use of solar technologies,
addressing specific issues that prevent consumers from
using solar energy systems and encouraging builders
and
developers to include solar energy systems in new construction.
This project aims to make the use of solar systems,
both thermal and electric, a viable and economically
feasible
alternative for home and commercial buildings.
Business owners, homeowners, builders, developers,
city planners, local governments, architects, engineers
and all other citizens in our communities will soon
become aware of the possibilities of solar energy.
It is hoped that in the future, solar energy contractors
will be abundant, equipment suppliers common, and solar
systems can be readily available at home improvement
stores.
